Intended Audience: This family-friendly program is perfect for adults and/or families with children ages 8 and up. Children must attend with a parent/caregiver.
Program Description: Pawpaw trees have been hiding right here in Ohio’s backyard for thousands of years, but it wasn’t until 2009 that the pawpaw was named Ohio’s native state fruit. As we venture “way down yonder” to treasure hunt for ripe pawpaw fruits, we’ll explore the history, science, and lore of the “Ohio Banana.”
What to Expect: This is an educational experience.
What to Wear: As we’ll be crossing a creek and searching for pawpaw off-trail, hiking shoes/boots and long pants are strongly advised.
Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the Creekside Barn at our Long Branch Farm & Trails location. (6926 Gaynor Rd, Goshen, OH 45122)
Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission.
