2:30pm - Make and Take: Goldenrod Jelly and Soap at Long Branch Farm & Trails (sold out)
Registration Requirements: Preregistration required.
Intended Audience: This program is designed for adults.
Program Description: As autumn sets in, the fields turn to gold, and we’re heading out to harvest. During this hands-on program, we’ll forage for prime goldenrod flowers and explore this vibrant plant’s edible and medicinal uses by making it into “sunshine in a jar” jelly and a skin-soothing soap.
During this program, you’ll:
What to Expect: This is a hands-on class with an optional gathering in the field portion.
What to Bring: A water bottle and some way to carry it. Scissors and a basket for harvesting goldenrod flowers would be useful.
What to Wear: As this experience will take us off-trail (optional) part of the time, long pants and proper shoes are recommended.
Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the Creekside Barn at our Long Branch Farm & Trails location. (6926 Gaynor Rd, Goshen, OH 45122)
Cost: Ticket fees include admission.
