PRESERVING NATURE’S LEGACY: Ensuring Tomorrow’s Abundance

Cincinnati Nature Center currently protects over 1,800 acres of greenspace and is committed to do so in perpetuity. However, we must protect the greenspace which exists around us. There is still the need to preserve lands immediately surrounding our properties at both Rowe Woods and Long Branch. We all know that pressure is strong to develop remaining greenspaces into something commercial or residential. We need to be in a financial position to competitively acquire land before it is lost forever. Land acquisition is in alignment with our values and long-range vision to preserve and protect natural resources, biodiversity, and ecosystems for the benefit of current and future generations.

We must have dedicated financial resources so that Cincinnati Nature Center can nimbly take advantage of strategic land acquisitions that enhance land preservation, elevate our research programs, and grow our stature as a conservation leader.
