Registration Requirements: Preregistration required.

Intended Audience: Recommended for 5 years and up with a caregiver. Adult chaperones/parents must register and should attend with their child. Older and younger siblings may attend if they are registered and paid. This program is designed for homeschoolers/virtual learners. (2 years and under are free.)

Program Description: Join a naturalist for this fall adventure to find some of our local plants and animals and dig into adaptations that help these organisms survive. We'll explore multiple habitats and their residents. Program runs rain or shine, with indoor options available if we have inclement weather.

What to Expect:  This is a hands-on program that may include short excursions off-trail.

  • Trails/areas used during this program are rated as accessible (packed gravel trails, mild hills, optional possible off trail) for a planned distance of 1/2-1 mile at a slow pace.
  • Restrooms are available at the start and end of the program. Restrooms are not available on the trails.
  • This program is mostly outdoors, with indoor options available in the case of severe weather.
  • Program runs rain or shine.

What to Bring: A water bottle is recommended.

What to Wear: Consider wearing old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

Note: Meet in the auditorium to start with the full group, then split into smaller hiking groups.

Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet in the auditorium of the Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location. (4949 Tealtown Road, Milford, OH 45150)

Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission.
