Intended Audience: This family-friendly program is designed for adults and/or families with children ages 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Program Description: Ring in the holiday season by crafting an eco-friendly door swag made from natural materials. The forest is full of inspiration, providing things like native evergreens, berries, seed pods, and pinecones. Using these foraged materials—harvested right here at Long Branch Farm & Trails—you will create a one-of-a-kind seasonal piece to adorn your doorway. While you work, roast a s’more over the fire or enjoy a warm cup of cider with your friends and family.  This hands-on and in-the-field outdoor event brings creativity and togetherness into one joyful experience. Just bring your holiday spirit, Cincinnati Nature Center-style! 

We’ll share easy techniques to help you craft a stunning, eco-friendly swag that brings a touch of nature to your doorway. Plus, you’ll learn all about local plants and sustainable practices.  

What to Expect: This is a hands-on class with an optional gathering in the field portion.  

• Trails/areas used during this program are rated as accessible (packed gravel trails, mild hills) for a planned distance of 1/4 mile at a slow pace.
• Restrooms are available throughout the program.
• This program is entirely outdoors.
• Program runs rain or shine.

What to Wear: Dress for the weather and to be outdoors the entire time.

Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet at the Creekside Barn at our Long Branch Farm & Trails location. (6926 Gaynor Rd, Goshen, OH 45122)

Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission. Fees are per swag kit; a caregiver may purchase one swag to work on with their child. Nonmember caregivers who purchase a ticket for their child, but do not purchase a ticket for themselves, will pay daily admission at the gate.  

Check your email for registration information regarding this transaction. SAVE A TREE, please retain your order number or save an electronic copy of the email acknowledgement as a receipt. You may be asked for your order number from your transaction to gain entry at the gate/to attend your program. Visitor Services associates can also verify your etickets from the order number or by name.
