Registration Requirement: Preregistration is required. 

Recommended Audience: This program is designed for the caregiver to attend with their child aged 3-4. A caregiver must attend with their child. Up to two adult caregivers may attend with a child. For families of children aged 5-10 and registered for Saturday Nature Squad, this program is conveniently located between drop-off and pick-up times and in the same building.

Program Description:

• Pond Pals, September 12, 2026:
  Wander to the pond with your little explorer for a morning of scooping, searching, and discovery! Together we'll take a close look at tiny pond critters, use our senses to explore the sights and sounds of nature, and take a short hike to discover the plants and animals that make pond habitats so special.
• Forest Friends, October 3, 2026:
  Follow the forest trails with your little one for a magical woodland adventure! We'll search for wild treasures, make nature wands, build tiny animal homes, and explore the forest together on a short hike. Along the way, we'll enjoy some imaginative play and simple discoveries about the plants and animals that make the forest feel enchanted.

What to Expect:  Trails/areas used during this program are rated as easy (mild hills, gravel trails) for a planned distance of 0-0.25 mile at a slow pace.

• This program is mostly outdoors with indoor options available in the case of severe weather. 
• Restrooms are available throughout the program.  
• Program runs rain or shine.

What to Wear: Dress for the weather and to be outdoors the entire time.

Where to Meet: Registered participants will meet in the Pine Room inside the Visitor Center at our Rowe Woods location. (4949 Tealtown Road, Milford, OH 45150)

Cost: Ticket fees include daily admission.
